November already..what?!

Well, it really just hit me…it’s November! 2013 is 10 months down and what a year it has been! I realized I haven’t posted since September, such missed opportunity for me! I am going to be working on setting up weekly posts to automatically post. I will be posting stories from my life, updates, music, etc…

Anyway, there is a random post for you, more soon!

Jesus is greater than our human-devised politics could ever be…if we have switched this view in our mind, then we need to be re awoken to the truth that is Christ and the law in His Word. God has a plan not only for each of us, but also for our country. In order to bring about that plan, He will bring into power the people He wants to be there. Sure, we may not understand it right now, but it is all part of a picture bigger and greater than any of us. This election is just one small piece in the master plan that God alone knows. So please, exercise your right to vote…it just may be that God works through your vote to accomplish what He wills.

Jesus is greater.

Tomorrow, November 6th, Americans will head to the polls (if they haven’t mailed in already!) to vote for the next President of the United States. Presidential elections, thank God, only occur every 4 years. This year I’ve seen many of my friends and family alienated from one another because of emotional reactions to political opinions expressed in various formats. That, however, is not the subject of this blog.

The subject of this blog is what happens tomorrow night. After all the votes have been counted (which may actually take a couple of days), a President will have been decided. But something really odd happens after an election- some on the the “losing” side begin to wax depressed about how the country will fall into some dystopian state because “the other guy” won. People put so much stock in their political candidate, and invest so much emotional and intellectual energy into…

Faith of a Child

Oh to have the faith of a child! Sure, sometimes their prayers seem a little silly or unrealistic, but should we not have prayers like that too? No prayer to God should be ruled out for being too childlike. A child’s faith tends to be viewed as too simplistic, but maybe it is the adults who are over complicating it…just a though.

Following Your Passion

I can absolutely see the wonderful world that opens up behind this saying – „Follow your passion“.

If we follow our passion – do the things we love most – then the world becomes this supersized amazing place filled with magic and endless opportunities. And I personally believe that this is exactly how we are meant to experience this physical dimension called planet Earth – filled with joy, love and excitement.

It always amazes me how some people think that if everyone followed their passion, then the world would not work properly any longer or would completely come to an end. With all due respect for their opinion, I think those people are only looking at a very small range of possible „passions“.

What is a Passion?

The most common general opinion (mostly expressed by the media) is that only singing, dancing, acting, sports and art can…

Some great thoughts on the Lord’s Prayer.

Jesus teaches us how to pray a righteous prayer before God. And as many of us are aware, within that prayer, it states “Give us today our daily bread.”

I don’t know about you but when I first learned about the Lord’s prayer, this part of the prayer struck me as odd. Think about it…

It starts out with how our Father is deemed holy and that his kingdom and will will be done on earth as it is in heaven. And then all of the sudden, we are asking God to give today our daily meals.

To me, this sounded out of the blue, which made me think if this was talking about the actual food that we eat to nourish our bodies? I continued onto Matthew 6…

In Matthew 6:28-33…

[28] And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither…
